In this unit, you will explore fundamental concepts in popular music practice by undertaking a technical syllabus that develops knowledge and application of foundational skills on your primary instrument or voice. You will use recording technologies (audio and video) in your practice as well as peer feedback and fundamental self-reflective skills.

Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled studio activities, one on one teaching, asynchronous teaching and independent study. A unit requires on average three/four hours of scheduled activities per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
