In this unit, you will progress your control of intermediate music performance skills developed in ATS2122 through the preparation and presentation of performance materials that build on those studied in ATS2122 and first year performance units. You will continue to explore diverse music and grow your awareness of the musical and cultural context of your selected repertoire.

Learning outcomes
- Demonstrate control of an intermediate level instrumental/vocal technique, including rhythm, articulation, accuracy, timbre, dynamics and intonation (where applicable);
- Prepare and present performance materials such as technical requirements, studies, solo repertoire and/or collaborative repertoire that consolidates technical and creative skills developed in ATS2122;
- Demonstrate advanced musicianship and/or creativity, including appropriate artistic expression, improvisation and/or technology as appropriate, beyond that achieved in ATS2122;
- Devise and perform a performance program demonstrating engagement with diverse repertoire and awareness of the musical and cultural context of the works selected.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
