In this unit you will examine research pertaining to jazz history. You will utilise critical readings of historical and biographical texts in conjunction with analyses of representative audio and score materials to investigate socio-cultural trends, major significant historical events and key figures that have influenced the development of jazz.

- Demonstrate academic research, writing and oral communication skills.
