Overview

In this unit you will examine the fundamental concepts and practical issues in Chinese translation. You will learn to identify various types of source texts, develop text analysis skills, and select appropriate translation strategies for different contexts, recognising how genres influence text classification and translation strategies. By exploring stylistic approaches to translation, you will strengthen your bilingual competence and practical translation skills, better preparing you for the professional world and expanding your career path as a global citizen.
