Building on the foundational knowledge and skills you developed in Cinematic design for film (DGN4604), this unit challenges you to engage with more advanced cinematic design workflows and production techniques. You’ll apply AI tools alongside practices such as dynamic camera movement, green screen compositing, on-location sound recording, lighting design, ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement), and cinematic composition. The unit supports you in developing both creative and technical fluency as you integrate AI within complex production environments, encouraging innovative approaches to storytelling while maintaining cinematic coherence and craft. Through collaborative and individual projects, you’ll refine your artistic vision, expand your technical capabilities, and deepen your critical understanding of AI’s evolving role in contemporary screen production.
