Overview

You will explore environmental and sustainability concepts and practices that demonstrate both sound and innovative educational approaches. You will develop an appreciation of educational responses to sustainability challenges affecting local and global environments, cultures and communities through exploring how these can be integrated into teaching and learning. You will investigate cultural, social, economic, ecological and political influences that impact attitudes and actions towards ESE, including the role that educating for the Sustainable Development Goals can play in achieving sustainable futures. You will gain theoretical and pedagogical knowledge of how to develop holistic learning experiences in ESE and a range of curricular opportunities available to achieve this.
