In this unit you will learn the skills required to implement and lead educational technology change in a workplace setting at both the organisational and personnel level. Through engagement with conventional and unconventional theories of adoption, change, transformation and disruption, you will learn how to evaluate technological innovations, understand pedagogical reasoning and to judge the impact of interventions within the workplace.

Learning outcomes
- demonstrate an understanding of an advanced body of knowledge that is contemporary and context-specific within an aligned professional practice and scholarship
- interact with the significant theories and contemporary debates in the field through independent study and application of this interaction
- utilise your knowledge to critically evaluate and analyse research, literature and knowledge in the field, and demonstrate this through independent judgement
- communicate your understanding and awareness of contemporary debates through coherent, sustained and informed dissemination of knowledge, through academic writing for a particular audience, context and purpose
- demonstrate an understanding of theoretical methodologies within specific professional contexts
- generate your own ideas on an abstract level, as they apply and interact with complex concepts and ideas in the field.
Workload
The minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per teaching period comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Usually, you can expect to engage with: • 12 hours of scheduled learning delivered on campus via weekly/regular directed learning activities, 12 hours of scheduled learning delivered online via a combination of synchronous and asynchronous directed learning activities, and the remaining hours to be allocated towards self-directed/independent study OR • 24 hours of scheduled learning delivered online via a combination of synchronous and asynchronous directed learning activities, and the remaining hours to be allocated towards self-directed/independent study^ ^ International students studying in Australia are not permitted to undertake this scheduled learning delivery mode. Scheduled learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
