In this final studio unit, you will build on the skills and knowledge gained throughout your degree to develop a unique project within specific thematic areas and studio streams, demonstrating high competency and self-directed work. This project prepares you for professional practice or further studies by showcasing advanced research skills and addressing complex issues within the evolving landscape of industrial design. You will balance contemporary environmental, societal, and cultural concerns while independently refining methods to initiate, manage, document, and communicate your work. This unit challenges you to think critically and creatively about a market, ecological, or societal need, pushing the boundaries of your expertise and demonstrating how your proposed product, service, or system can drive meaningful change. The semester’s project work will be documented in a process journal, with final design proposals presented as refined digital and/or physical models that clearly demonstrate a human-centred approach and ethical considerations
