Last checked: 23 Aug 2026 UTCOverview
This unit examines, in depth, the cells and molecules of the immune system and how their functions are integrated to form an effective immune system that can fight infection. You will explore innate immunity, lymphocyte development, antigen processing and presentation, adaptive cellular and humoral immunity, central and peripheral tolerance, and immune regulation. You will consolidate your skills in searching and critically reviewing the literature, in assignment writing, and in oral presentation.
