This unit is designed to advance your knowledge, skills, and abilities around literature reviews (LRs) in management research. The unit will prepare you to develop an appropriate and impactful LR tailored to a topic of your interest. This unit will also advance your knowledge and experience around the process of publishing a LR via practical and authentic assessments. You will develop comprehensive understanding of the goals, methods, and boundaries of different LR types through advanced readings and interaction.

Learning outcomes
- develop advanced understanding of the goals, methods, and boundaries associated with the range of LRs typically conducted in management/organisational research
- devise an impactful LR—one that addresses critical gaps in the literature and is guided by clear and innovative research questions
- develop knowledge, skills, and experience in the process of preparing a LR for publication
- understand and apply standards of research integrity to foster confidence in the methods and findings of the LR
- demonstrate knowledge or skills for crafting sustainable futures for people, organisations, communities, and/or the environment.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
