Learning outcomes

  1. Interpret and represent the properties of elementary functions using graphs, symbolic expressions, and digital tools;
  2. Manipulate and transform functions using a range of algebraic, numerical, and introductory calculus techniques to solve mathematical problems;
  3. Apply functions and mathematical models to analyse and solve problems in real-world physical, scientific, and technological contexts;
  4. Communicate mathematical reasoning effectively, both individually and in groups, to solve problems.

• Three hours of seminars; • One 2-hour applied class (in weeks 2-12) and • Seven hours of independent study per week.
