Overview

In this unit, you will complete a professional work placement within the field of nutrition science, applying your academic knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to nutrition projects and work tasks. Throughout the placement, you will apply relevant nutrition science knowledge, skills and evidence within an organisational context. You will create innovative solutions to real-world nutrition problems, collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, and demonstrate professional behaviours. You will also gain insights into your future career as a nutrition professional through the practice of critical reflexivity.

Workload

16 days on applied work placement. 8 hours of in-person workshops (4 x 2hr sessions) and one full day of project presentations end of semester (week 12).
