This unit explores the retrofitting and creation of ecologically sensitive cities and regencies in Indonesia. Through projects that coordinate the built and natural systems that shape our cities, you will develop design foundations, technical capacity, analytical approaches and modes of articulation through spatial planning systems.

Learning outcomes
- Communicate the basic spatial planning process and components of the spatial plan;
- Strategically respond to complex problems and develop appropriate urban design responses, processes and outcomes relevant to Indonesian cities and regencies;
- Apply creativity and critique to address urban design issues;
- Communicate using oral, written, and graphic communication skills;
- Understand and apply the rules of occupational health and safety appropriate to the unit of study.
Workload
12 hours per week including 3 contact hours. The remaining 9 hours are to be used for self and group learning activities.
