Advances in biomedical science can have a major impact on the wellbeing of society, but the transition from laboratory to the people it will benefit is a complex journey; this double degree course gives you the tools to do this. You will gain a solid foundation in the concepts, procedures and reasoning underpinning the Australian legal system and the research, analytical and communication skills of the legal profession. Combine this with an understanding of anatomy, epidemiology and preventative medicine, genetics, immunology, microbiology and pharmacology and you will have the grounding to use your law skills to help solve challenging medical problems.

Structure

You must complete 156 credit points comprising all units in Parts A and 72 credit points from Part B as described in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree. Note. You must complete 54 credit points of units from Part A as described in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree before undertaking law elective units.

You must complete 96 credit points comprising all the requirements in Part A (90 credit points) and one Level 3 Discipline-specific elective studies unit from Part B (6 credit points) as described in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree.
