With the growth in scientific research and the commercialisation of new technologies, graduates with knowledge in both science and law are increasingly sought after. This double degree course provides practical legal skills and an awareness of the complex interaction between science and society. In an age of increasing technological advancements, the link between science and the law will only become stronger. This means as a graduate with a double degree in science and law you will have the power to choose which career you follow. With a significant range of majors in science and a rich repertoire of law electives, the course can be tailored to meet your individual interests.

Structure

You must complete 156 credit points comprising all units in Part A and 72 credit points from Part B as described in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree. Note. You must complete 54 credit points of units from Part A as described in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree before undertaking law elective units.

You must complete 96 credit points comprising all units in Part A and as described in the Bachelor of Science degree. You must ensure that you complete: - 36 credit points of science listed units at Level 1, and - 60 credit points of science listed units at Levels 2 and 3, of which at least 24 credit points must be at Level 3. Note 1: You must complete the mathematics and statistics unit requirement within the first 72 credit points of this double degree course. Note 2: The psychology extended major is not available in this double degree course.
