A Monash Law degree will enable you to join the next generation of high achieving lawyers, with the ability to solve complex, demanding and interesting problems. The Law degree provides you with a solid foundation in the concepts, procedures and reasoning underpinning the Australian legal system and the research, analytical and communication skills of the legal profession. The Information Technology degree focuses on the application of computer-based technologies and systems to meet individual and organisational information needs. It enables you to gain the knowledge and skills needed to use IT effectively and to use, develop and manage IT-based systems. This double degree will present opportunities for students in the evolving field of legislative responses to information technology innovation and the growth of information systems for legal decision-making and procedures.

Structure

You must complete 156 credit points comprising all units in Part A and 72 credit points from Part B as described in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree. Note. You must complete 54 credit points of units from Part A as described in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree before undertaking law elective units.

You must complete 96 credit points comprising all the requirements from Part A and Part B as described in the Bachelor of Information Technology degree. No more than 36 credit points can be completed at Level 1.
