This course is designed for students who wish to study psychology and understand the complexities of human behaviour and the biological, psychological and social factors that contribute to individual, group and organisational processes. You will learn about how psychological, social and personality factors influence thinking and behaviour, as well as how interventions can be applied to help people lead more satisfying and meaningful lives. You will also acquire a basic knowledge of core business disciplines and specialised knowledge in one business area and develop an understanding of psychology in a business environment. You will enhance your ability to develop careers in psychology, and/or business through the development of effective interpersonal and communication skills, the mastering of essential research design procedures, statistical analyses and methods of written and oral communication relevant to the fields of psychology and business.
Structure
You must complete the following units. Note: This Psychology sequence is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).

You must complete the following four units (24 credit points), one additional business studies unit (6 credit points) and one of the business areas below (42 credit points).
This will enable you to further develop your knowledge of psychology/business through electives covering topics in your area of study. You must complete 6 credit points of elective study from any of the following options: - the following list of recommended electives offered through the School of Psychological Sciences OR - any units offered by the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences OR - any units offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics OR - any units across the University provided you have met the required prerequisites and there are no restrictions on enrolment into the units.
