Check the course transfer requirements carefully before making an application for a transfer.

This is a competitive process, you must meet course pre-requisites, minimum WAM and have completed at least 12 credit points of a Monash University course to be eligible for transfer.

Eligibility

Undergraduate

  • In addition to meeting course pre-requisites, students must have achieved the minimum WAM in their current course as stated below.
VCE units 3 and 4 of Further Maths (study score 25+), or Maths Methods or Specialist Maths (study score 22+ or equivalent) or ECC1550 or ETF2700 or MTH101055% minimum WAM

Frequently asked questions

  • You will receive the maximum credit with your offer.The amount of credit you will receive will depend on the number of units you have completed in your current course that are equivalent to the units in the new course.
  • You can still apply to transfer.There is a maximum amount of credit that can be transferred to the new degree.
  • If your new course is continuing part of your original course with the same degree name, your WAM will carry over to the new degree - see below:If you are transferring from a degree with a different name, your WAM will not be carried over - see below:
  • Yes, you can apply to course transfer while on intermission.
  • Once you have received a course transfer offer, you will be provided with a personalised course progression map.For guidance, you can refer to the Handbook and course progression map for the new course.
  • Yes, you can apply for a course transfer while enrolled in a winter unit.
  • If you are transferring to one of the Australian campus business degrees from the Bachelor of Business and Commerce in Malaysia, you can review credit matches by checking the Prohibitions listed in the Handbook against units you have successfully completed.For example, if you have completed ACW1020, you would be eligible to receive credit for ACC1001 Accounting fundamentals in the Bachelor of Commerce at the Clayton campus. Likewise, if you have completed BFW2751 Derivatives 1, you are eligible to receive credit for BFF3751 Derivatives in the Bachelor of Business at the Caulfield campus.If there are no prohibitions listed against the unit you have completed, you will be offered credit for a business elective at the level you have undertaken the unit. For example, if you completed BFW1310 Introduction to Islamic banking and finance, you will be eligible to receive credit for a business elective at level one.The final assessment of credit will take into account the completion rules of your destination course, so seek advice if you have any questions.
