What will you be doing?
The benefits
Volunteering allows you to contribute to positive change while building your confidence and employability – and you get course credit! This unit encourages you to align your volunteer work with your personal values and explore the impact of social engagement through reflective learning.
Hear what made previous student volunteers and Monash staff want to get involved.
You’ll complete at least 24 hours of volunteering with an approved organisation, and complete online modules and assessments that explore key ideas and frameworks behind volunteering. You’ll select from a curated list of opportunities that meet the unit criteria.
From helping families in need to tutoring kids, there are many different options for what you'll be doing as a student volunteer.

Take a look at our Community Partners Our Community Partners are helping us make a genuine difference in the local communities around our campuses. Although all the volunteering options they offer are valuable, they don't all meet the requirements of the Volunteering in Practice (MON2000) unit. Keep that in mind while browsing and make sure you pick an opportunity that specifically states it can count towards MON2000. See our Community Partners
