Creating well-rounded engineers
Outstanding academic performance is not always first on an employer's must-have list; first and foremost, many employers want graduates who are highly skilled, well-rounded individuals. Many employers place interpersonal and communication skills, critical reasoning and problem-solving skills, as well as passion, at the top of their list.
Industry Based Learning
Engineering Career Ready Series
Explore opportunities to build your employability skills, find work experience, connect with industry and other students and make the most of your time while at Monash Engineering.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
CPD is a compulsory professional practice requirement for all Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Professional Engineering students at Monash Clayton.
Women in Engineering

Engineering Co-operative (Co-op) Education Program
Students have the opportunity to apply for the Co-op unit and earn credit while undertaking a paid internship, gaining valuable industry experience throughout their degree.
Industry Innovation Program (IIP)
Students will have the opportunity to develop and demonstrate independent problem-solving skills by working on real-world problems of importance to industry.
Industry Experience
An industry placement (internship) allows you to get hands-on experience while you study and can open up new possibilities for your career.
