We have a range of workshops and training available to help our staff and students maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle, and make a better community for all.

The Respect at Monash modules are compulsory for all staff and students to complete. After that, we recommend you start by completing Call it out: actively changing campus culture before exploring our other training programs.

Compulsory modules Respect at Monash online modules The Respect at Monash online modules help our community understand what it means to be a respectful member of the Monash Community. Get started

Call it out: actively changing campus culture This module will show you how calling out harassment and discrimination contributes to a campus culture that condemns disrespectful behaviour.

Preventing gender-based violence

EGBVT training Eliminating Gender Based Violence Together (EGBVT) is a peer-led, interactive session that gives you the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to play an active role in preventing gender-based violence.

Responding to disclosures of sexual harm Learn about how to respond with support and respect if someone confides in you about sexual harm.

Dating in Australia Explore how dating in Australia works, including commonly used words and phrases. You’ll learn about consent, respectful relationships and where to get help if you or one of your friends needs it.

Sexpectations Required for all new students living on campus, this program (consisting of an online module and in-person workshop) covers sex, consent and fostering a respectful culture.

Flip the Script with EAAA® This workshop for women flips the social scripts to empower and help prevent sexual violence.

The Masculinities Project An evidence-based project and opportunity for University men. Attend a series of catch-up sessions and an intensive ‘mobiliser’ program focused on unpacking men's role in promoting gender equality and preventing Gender-Based Violence.

Our Sexual Health Peer-led comprehensive sex-positive education aimed at building foundational knowledge on sexual health and wellbeing.

LGBTIQA+ inclusivity

Rainbow Communities and LGBTIQA+ 101 If you’d like to learn more about sex, gender and sexuality, then this module is for you! Starting with the basics, this course will help you build foundational knowledge of LGBTIQA+ terms, identities, and communities, and empower you to continue your allyship journey.

LGBTIQA+ Ally Training This activity-centred workshop is focused on equipping you with practical, everyday allyship skills. You'll learn how to bust harmful myths, overcome barriers to action, and rehearse real-life scenarios, with scripts and strategies to build your confidence as an agent of positive change.

Pronoun Pro Learn more about respectful pronoun usage through a better understanding of the experiences of trans and gender-diverse people. The training is peer-led by facilitators with lived experience and full of activities, discussion and practice.

View our training schedule and identify which sessions will suit your schedule or that of a particular cohort of students. If you're unable to find a session to suit a group you can get in touch with our team to request a session. You'll need a minimum group of 25 to request for a session that's exclusively available to a particular group of students/staff.
