How to re-enrol
Follow the University process to ensure you re-enrol on time.
Failure to re-enrol
If you fail to re-enrol during the timely or late re-enrolment periods, you will lose your place at Monash. If you've missed the deadline, find out what to do if you fail to re-enrol.
Engineering specialisation selection
If you're not already enrolled in your specialisation, you can select it on WES under the Areas of study section.
How do I choose my units?
Understand your course requirements using the your course map and handbook from the year you started your current course
- Check next year's handbook for units on offer next year
- Discuss your enrolment and unit selection with your course adviser if you have questions.
Timetabling
If an unavoidable clash occurs between a core Engineering unit and an elective, including an engineering minor or engineering technical elective unit, you may need to adjust your enrolment and prioritise the core units.
Why can't I enrol in some units via WES?
You may not be able to enrol in some units if:
- You have failed the prerequisite or corequisite for the unit
- You are sitting a deferred or supplementary assessment for a unit that is a prerequisite or corequisite for another unit:
- The unit is prohibited with a unit that you already completed/enrolled in
- You've already passed the unit
- The unit has a quota or restricted enrolment as it is in teach out. These units are barred from WES and require approval and manual enrolment (submit an enrolment form)
- WES will assume you’ll pass and allow you to enrol in the next unit.
- You must pass the deferred/supplementary assessment to stay enrolled.
- If you fail, you’ll be discontinued from the enrolled unit because you won’t have met the academic requirements to remain enrolled.
