Orientation week
Orientation is all about getting off to a great start. Discover events and resources to help you discover more about IT at Monash, your course and the systems, services and support available to you.
Semester 2, 2026 Orientation Program
Master’s (Postgraduate) Welcome Session
Join the Faculty of IT welcome session. Meet your course directors, Peer mentors and fellow students starting their Monash IT journey.
There will be an opportunity to ask any enrolment/course-related questions directly to our Student Services team.
For Master of IT, Data Science, AI, Cybersecurity & Business Information Systems students only.

Bachelor of Information Technology Information Session

Programming Bootcamp (Two-day Session)
This two-day Introduction to Programming Bootcamp is designed exclusively for Faculty of IT students who have absolutely no prior coding experience or programming knowledge. We'll start from the very beginning and help you build confidence in a supportive learning environment.
To get the most out of the program, attendance on both days is required, and you must register for both Day 1 and Day 2. Lunch will be provided. Please bring your laptop, charger and a drink bottle.
Arrive by 9.45 am for registration

Programming Bootcamp Held in O-Week, this two-day bootcamp helps absolute beginners build a strong coding foundation. Learn from high-achieving students and be prepared for the first four weeks of content!
IT student community Connect with like-minded students while developing your skills and accessing industry events through our diverse student clubs, societies, teams, and collectives.
Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Get good grades and make friends with PASS. A unit based study progrm, where a high achieving student runs weekly study sesions for you and your classmates.
