Role of staff mental health first aid ambassadors
Our staff mental health first aid ambassadors help improve mental health literacy campus wide.
Our ambassadors:
- Promote Awareness: educating others about mental health, reducing stigma, and encouraging open conversations.
- Offer Support: Providing a listening ear, empathy, and resources to those in need of mental health support.
- Encourage staff, students and student groups to get involved in mental health activities and workshops.
- Assist the Counselling, Health & Wellness team in organising a campus wide mental health activity; OR, organise at least one mental health related activity within your school/unit once a year.
Requirements:
- Complete Changing Minds (on Moodle).
- Complete the 12-hour Mental Health First Aid Training (Registration)
- Commit to attending team meetings/discussions (once every two months).
