International Student Attendance Requirement
It is a requirement by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia for international students to maintain an overall minimum 80% attendance (coursework students) or satisfactory (research students) attendance in all classes and an overall minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50 throughout their course of study.
You are advised to maintain satisfactory attendance and WAM throughout your studies. Unsatisfactory levels of attendance and grades for some units may adversely affect your overall attendance and WAM, which may in turn affect the renewal of Student Pass.
Please note that attendance reporting for international students is a mandatory condition for student pass renewal applications.
Non-compliance to the attendance requirement (Absence without valid reasons and uncontactable for 14 days) will result in:
- Notification to the police, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and Immigration Department of Malaysia; and/or
- Cancellation / non-renewal of your student pass resulting in your course discontinuation
What do you need to do?

| Step 1: Download the Honours/Postgraduate Diploma Student Progress Statement . |
| Step 2: Complete the form with your student details and submit to your main supervisor. Ensure your main supervisor has completed and signed on the Honours/Postgraduate Diploma Student Progress Statement. |
| Step 3: Sign and acknowledge on the Honours/Postgraduate Diploma Student Progress Statement. |
| Step 4: Submit the completed Progress Statement for the month to the Education Management Office no later than the 2nd of the following month. |
| ( Note : You should repeat the above steps on a monthly basis in order to complete your submission of the Honours/Postgraduate Diploma Student Progress Statement.) |
