Enrolment (WES) and Timetable (Allocate+)

Getting started at university can feel overwhelming, especially when you're enrolling in your units and planning your timetable for the first time. This page will guide you through the enrolment and timetabling process, helping you understand what to do, when to do it, and where to find the resources you need for a smooth start to your studies.

Understanding WES & Allocate+

📘 WES (Web Enrolment System)

Unit enrolment is completed through WES (Web Enrolment System) , where you enrol in the units you intend to study for your upcoming semester.

📅 Allocate+

Timetable allocation is completed through Allocate+ , where you select your preferred classes, such as tutorials, seminars and workshops, for the units you have enrolled in.

How do I enrol in units in my General Studies?

Please refer to the Step-by-step Guide prepared by the School of Pathways and Immersion.

I tried enrolling in my main programme units but was unsuccessful.

You may currently be viewing the WES enrolment page for your General Studies programme. Log out of WES, log back in, and ensure you select your main programme before attempting to enrol again.

My enrolled units do not show up on Allocate+ and Moodle.

Changes made in WES take time to synchronise.

  • Allocate+: approximately 2 hours
  • Moodle: approximately 24 hours

The class time I want is full. Can I change to another class?

Class allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis. You may request to swap classes by selecting your preferred class. If a vacancy becomes available, you may automatically be reallocated.

There's a clash with one of my units.

Check whether either unit has another available class time. Changing just one class is usually enough to resolve the clash.

All the classes for my unit are full.

Please check again every few hours. Additional classes are regularly opened while the Timetabling team reviews enrolment demand.

I cannot attend my allocated class because of a personal reason.

Class allocation is managed on a first come, first served basis, so allocated classes cannot normally be changed. If you wish to move to another class:

  1. Open Allocate+.
  2. Select your preferred class.
  3. Click the ❤️ icon to register your preference.
  4. If a place becomes available, you may automatically be moved into that class.
