The University of Warwick's location made it easy to explore thanks to excellent public transport and student discounts. | Alysa Wong, Bachelor of Business and Commerce, School of Business | International Exchange Program to Aalto University, Finland and University of Warwick, UK | Embarking on an exchange to Finland alone was something that I did not expect to tick off my list when I had begun my degree here in Monash. From watching the seasons change on the vibrant streets of Helsinki to the picturesque landscapes of Lapland, every passing moment was an adventure filled with many new experiences and meaningful connections. Through engaging in conversations with local Finnish students, and participating in traditional events unique to the Finnish student community, I not only gained new perspectives but also cultivated lifelong friendships with people across the globe. | Richelle Yong , Bachelor of Computer Science, School of Information Technology | International Exchange Program to University of Wisconsin Madison, USA | I still vividly remember the first day I stepped foot onto campus ground, friendly faces welcomed me with open arms. Whether it was a brief encounter in the elevator or a simple act of holding the door, conversations blossomed effortlessly. It was a stark contrast to what I was accustomed to in Malaysia, yet I found myself embracing this newfound warmth. Thanks to my peers who were always eager to engage with lecturers, it gave me the courage to voice my opinions. It changed the way I approached my problems academically and made me realise not to shy away from communicating. Beyond the classroom, I had the opportunity to work, exposing me to people from diverse backgrounds. This experience deepened my appreciation for different cultures and enhanced my interpersonal skills. I truly enjoyed my time there and would do it all again in a heartbeat. Even if you gave me 10 pages to write, nothing can capture the beautiful memories I gained thanks to this exchange program. Learn more about my experience here . |

| Safiyya Shahrul Nizar, Bachelor of Business and Commerce, School of Business | International Exchange to Korea University, South Korea | I would say that going on exchange to Korea University has been such a rewarding experience and without a doubt, it is truly one of the best decisions I’ve made. Within 4 months, I got to embrace a whole new culture and became accustomed to the mannerisms and the way of living as a local in South Korea, which as a 20-year-old living independently for the first time, is a huge accomplishment. Although I was just an exchange student at Korea University, I really felt like I belonged to a close, tightly knit community because of how inclusive the local students are here especially when it comes to university events.
