Developed by Respectful Communities in consultation with the Monash University Health Service and the Centre for Culture, Ethnicity and Health, Our Sexual Health training is focused on providing our Monash community with comprehensive sex-positive education that supports their overall wellbeing. The module provides foundational knowledge on sexual health, including protection, contraception and sexual health check-ups.

Learning objectives

  • Unpacking and challenging the stigma around sexual health to normalise caring for our sexual wellbeing.
  • Exploring language regarding sexual health to empower students through knowledge relating to bodies, contraception, STI protection and communication.
  • Understanding how to engage with health services for sexual wellbeing, what's involved in sexual health check-ups, and the benefits of regular check ups for all.

Audience: All students Duration: 1 hour
