A limited number of grants up to $15,000 each are available to Monash University students for study in a specific field of study in Indo-Pacific countries at selected exchange partners. If the number of available grants is less than the number of eligible students, students are selected on evaluation of their personal statement (if this was part of the program selection), on academic merit (the WAM in the student’s current degree at the time of being accepted into the program) and equity indicators..
Only successful recipients are notified by Monash Abroad if they are selected to receive a grant via email after they have been formally nominated or accepted into the exchange program by the host university. You must accept the grant and complete all the required Monash Abroad and DFAT requirements to receive payment. The grant offer cannot be deferred for exchange in another semester.
When all these requirements are met, payment will be scheduled in the next available payment cycle. This is likely to occur approximately 4 weeks before your program start date.
