Overview

Students are not able to enrol themselves in to this Internship unit - please see the EOI-MADA Internship Moodle site for details, including deadlines and the application process. This unit provides undergraduate students with work integrated learning experiences through a placement in a relevant industry or organisation. The placement will occur for a period equivalent to a one semester 6 credit point unit, which may manifest as approximately 80-100 hours of work over a set period of time (e.g. 8 hours per week for 10-12 weeks, 16 hours per week for 5-6 weeks, 24 hours per week for 3-4 weeks, etc.) and around 40-60 hours to document and critically reflect on experiences. Some additional activities may be required at the beginning and end of the placement. Some additional activities may be required at the beginning and end of the placement. In most cases, participants are responsible for arranging and negotiating the internship, which will be self-managed, after approval of the Unit Coordinator and host organisation. The internship will enable you to put your skills and knowledge into practice in a professional workplace, and build industry experience, contacts and confidence.
