This unit equips you with the ability to assess, evaluate and decide on appropriate building systems and procurement methods in line with contemporary architectural practice. This consolidates learnings from previous semesters to holistically demonstrate an understanding of building systems. You will work through project scenarios to explore design, environmental and social implications of construction methodologies.

Learning outcomes
- Describe contemporary and emerging building procurement methods and processes;
- Assess and implement documentation processes appropriate to selected procurement methods and building systems;
- Combine design concepts with appropriate construction methodology and building procurement for coherent communication with relevant stakeholders;
- Identify the ethical implications of contemporary collaborative practices in the workplace;
- Evaluate the impact on environments and communities of available procurement and construction methods;
- Compare and critically evaluate the project response in relation to the original objectives and brief.
