This unit explores aspects of architectural media. This unit examines a range of discursive and material aspects of architectural media. It will take into consideration various cultural, social, and technological factors utilising historical, theoretical, and projective approaches. Investigations will incorporate various methodologies and diverse points of view with an underlying concern for the implications for architectural design. The unit will foster skills necessary for assessing and contributing to the built environment.

Learning outcomes
- Identify and explain diverse aspects of architectural media, culture, techniques, media;
- Research and analyse architectural media and apply knowledge to advance understanding of architecture;
- Locate architectural media in relation to a variety of relevant contexts with recognition of interconnections and influences shaping practices and approaches;
- Work in teams to effectively communicate, debate and advocate for advancements in architectural media;
- Rigorously explore the development and implications of architectural media and the potentials to support change;
- Reflectively engage in lifelong learning about diverse aspects of architecture.
