Overview
In this unit you will design and execute applied industry research using desk research and secondary data. You will investigate real marketing and communication challenges by analysing credible external sources, including industry databases, digital analytics, academic literature, and market/consumer reports. Through a structured applied research project, you will define research problems, analyse and interpret data, synthesise evidence into insight, and develop and justify recommendations. You will communicate your findings in professional industry formats such as briefs, slide decks and visual artefacts. The unit is focused on practical, industry-driven, and actionable outcomes, preparing you to address complex, real-world industry challenges.
