In this unit, you will explore concepts and technologies fundamental to popular music practice through the application of recording and music production knowledge and skills. You will continue to use audio-visual recordings to further develop your self-reflective and improvisational skills and formulate future performance goals.

Learning outcomes
- apply enhanced technical efficiency on their primary instrument/voice to create a performance outcome;
- research and analyse a relevant scene within the music ecosystem;
- apply fundamental conventions of recording coproduction in a studio ensemble.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled studio activities, one on one teaching, asynchronous teaching and independent study. A unit requires on average three/four hours of scheduled activities per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
