Overview

You are placed as an intern with a host partner organisation and complete either a unique research project or work experience-based project jointly defined by the host partner organisation and the unit coordinator. Monash Arts partners with organisations across a diverse range of industries and sectors, including aged and disability services, arts organisations, community, women’s and multicultural services, hospitals, medical associations, research institutes, and medical libraries and museums. You will be carefully matched to a placement that will allow you to further strengthen specific thematic knowledge or methodological skills you have developed during the major. The main component of the unit involves you undertaking a minimum of 77 hours equivalent of placement in order to complete a final project agreed upon between the host partner organisation and the Faculty. The host partner organisation provides field supervision and the Faculty provides academic supervision.
