Overview
This is a 6 credit point, small team or individual based unit, that is designed to give you real world work experience through participating as consultants (with academic guidance) on an actual business or organisational project.

Learning outcomes
- determine project scope and approach based on analysis of client needs, using business evidence and contemporary practice in applied project contexts
- apply relevant business theories, concepts and tools creatively to address complex business challenges
- communicate evolving project insights, outputs and recommendations clearly, professionally and appropriately across various stakeholder interactions
- produce industry-standard project deliverables and recommendations as a coherent business solution that is evidence-based and context-specific
- evaluate personal and team development using industry-standard feedback practices, digital tools, and collaborative approaches that value diverse perspectives in complex project contexts.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities. Please note, attendance at the workshops is optional.
