Overview

This unit will build on your knowledge of digital technologies that facilitate organisational practices. You will solve complex organisational problems using digital technologies. You will develop digital competencies that enhance your ability to apply concepts to business models to innovative new strategies. In this unit you will work collaboratively in a diverse team across Australia and Malaysia.

  1. understand the digital world in which you live and the implications of this on conducting digital business
  2. formulate digital technology strategies to solve complex organisational problems
  3. reflect on the effectiveness of digital technologies and the influence they have in shaping organisational strategies and business models
  4. assess the ethical aspects of the use of digital technologies and the impact these digital technologies have on organisational stakeholders.

Workload

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
