This is a 12 credit point small team or individual based unit, that is designed to give you real world work experience through participating as consultants (with academic guidance) on an actual business or organisational project.

Learning outcomes
- identify client needs to determine a scope and project approach that is relevant to the client context and informed by business evidence and contemporary practice
- identify relevant business theories, concepts and tools, applying them to address business challenges within a specific client context
- communicate evolving project insights, outputs and recommendations clearly and appropriately across various stakeholder interaction points by adopting professional communication standards
- report on project deliverables and recommendations, providing a professional and coherent business solution that is evidence-based and context-specific
- evaluate individual and peer contributions (where applicable) to a consulting project, and reflect on personal and professional growth using feedback practices, digital tools and inclusive approaches that value diverse perspectives.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 288 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities. Please note, attendance at the workshops is optional.
