In this unit, you will apply the knowledge and skills that culminate from other units in the FinTech major, to develop and deliver a comprehensive financial technology business idea in a pitch presentation. The presentation pitch shall include the following aspects (but not limited to) business process, technology requirements, feasibility, risk analysis (including regulation risk), and financing plans.

Learning outcomes
- analyse Fintech startup entrepreneurship in emerging markets
- evaluate Fintech entrepreneurs’ use of blockchain and other technologies in emerging markets
- illustrate how financial regulations in emerging markets apply to Fintech companies
- develop a conventional or sustainable Fintech startup business model in emerging markets.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
