Overview

This unit equips you with the knowledge and practical capabilities to take informed and disciplined control of your financial future in an increasingly digital and platform-driven world. You will develop the ability to build wealth deliberately, manage debt strategically, invest responsibly, and protect yourself against financial risks, while critically evaluating the fintech platforms and digital tools that shape modern financial decisions. Through applied modelling and real-world scenarios delivered in active-learning tutorials, you will construct structured financial projections, assess digital financial products, and develop a personalised financial blueprint aligned with your life goals. The unit emphasises disciplined decision-making, awareness of behavioural biases and the capacity to adapt under uncertainty. By the end of the semester, you will leave with a practical and adaptable plan to manage your finances responsibly in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
