This unit demonstrates the usefulness of incorporating recent theoretical and policy developments in international trade. We focus on trade policies for the developing nations, regional trading arrangements, and international monetary relations, such as the balance of payments, foreign exchange, exchange rate determination, exchange rate systems, international exchange rate adjustments, and macroeconomic policy.

- critically analyse the current issues, trends, and developments in the global economy, evaluating their impacts on economic systems, policy, and stakeholders.
Workload
