Overview

This unit has been designed to be taken in conjunction with your final professional experience placement. This unit prepares you for your transition into professional practice as early childhood teachers and invites you to develop a deep and actionable understanding of your current and future role as an early childhood teacher. Drawing on a range of research evidence and the knowledge, skills and professional experiences developed during your course, you will complete an assessment in which you will plan, teach, assess and critically reflect on your performance. You will demonstrate you are able to interpret and apply the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers in an early childhood context and that you have achieved the identified Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at the graduate level.
