Overview

In the internship, you acquire experience by working in a professional environment in engineering industries over 12 weeks. The internship includes considerations of engineering health and safety, teamwork, communication and life-long learning in the workplace and the development of a workplace written report. Learning outcomes

  1. Relate theoretical knowledge to engineering practice in workplace.
  2. Follow professional engineering practices, and health and safety rules of the workplace.
  3. Uphold engineering ethical principles and responsibilities, and have the ability to carry out engineering tasks given to acceptable standards.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to communicate engineering tasks to relevant parties and the ability to write technical reports.
  5. Show the ability to work independently and to collaborate with colleagues on common tasks effectively.
  6. Exhibit the willingness and ability to engage in life-long learning.
