- Semester 1: Critically evaluate the roles and obligations of engineers in society and assess the health, safety, legal and cultural impacts of engineering work. Semester 2: Appraise ethical dilemmas and professional acountability obligations in engineering practice by applying established ethical frameworks, codes of conduct, and due diligence requirements to support sound professional decision-making.
- Semester 1: Integrate human, social, environmental and economic sustainability, proposing innovative solutions for sustainable development in engineering projects. Semester 2: Analyse project management principles and economic feasibility approaches to evaluate the planning, scheduling, and financial viability of engineering projects.
- Semester 1: Reflect upon ethical issues with depth, developing a framework for ethical decision-making that reflects the profession's values and Engineers Australia and the Board of Engineers Malaysia's Code of Ethics in engineering practice. Semester 2: Appraise the societal impacts of engineering activities, including stakeholder interests, cultural considerations, and social licence obligations, to inform responsible professional engineering decisions.
- Semester 1: Demonstrate advanced collaborative skills, leading and participating in teams effectively to deliver high-quality outcomes while fostering a culture of inclusivity and mutual respect. Semester 2: Assess the environmental and economic sustainability implications of engineering projects to evaluate ecological impacts, resource use, and financial trade-offs in accordance with sustainable engineering practice.
- Semester 1: Communicate complex engineering concepts and solutions effectively, employing a range of modalities to engage diverse audiences and facilitate informed decision-making in technical and lay contexts. Semester 2: Justify risk management strategies in engineering projects by applying workplace health and safety legislation and engineering risk principles to evaluate and mitigate identified hazards.

Workload
