Topics for seminar presentation are selected in consultation with the coordinator. A list of possible topics will be distributed but you are encouraged to propose subjects of interest to them, based on their own discipline. You will present one paper, act as formal discussant on another, and are expected to engage in discussion of others.

Learning outcomes
- develop the skills to present an area of research in the discipline of econometrics or statistics in a non-technical manner, both written and oral
- grow in ability to ask and address critical questions about research.
Workload
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 288 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. You are expected to complete all pre-class activities prior to your scheduled class, and post-class activities should be completed after your scheduled class. Learning activities may include a combination of teacher directed, peer directed and online engagement activities.
