This unit allows you to gain academic recognition for professional IT employment or equivalent work-based learning experiences. You must demonstrate that your employment provides opportunities to apply IT knowledge, develop professional skills, and engage with industry practices. The unit is designed for students already employed in an IT-related workplace.

This is a Pass Grade Only unit (PGO) Following an initial visit by professional staff to validate placement you will complete daily logs and weekly reflections which will be monitored by the WIL teaching team. It will be your responsibility to report back to the university if the terms or engagement of your placement changes in any way, or if unforeseen circumstances arise. A final visit, including a review of logs and reflections with your supervisor, and a presentation from you, will take place at the end of the placement. A PGO or NGO mark will be determined from the above.
