Overview

This unit is the advanced practice unit (Part D) within the Master of Food Science and Agribusiness, and representing a capstone of the overall Master’s program. You select one of the two advanced practice units (FSC5090 or FSC5091) based on your preference. This unit, in line with the other science units, provides the practical experience of how scientific knowledge is applied into researching food with outcomes that influence innovation and industrial practices. This course allows you to devote yourselves to a substantial industry-driven project as part of your final year of study in the Master of Food Science and Agribusiness. The internship may be carried out within a supportive Faculty of industry premises, in collaboration with an industrial partner by arrangement and approval of the unit coordinator. Allied with the industrially applied focus of the internship is tutorial materials and discussion on formal matters relating to OH&S, database searching, data analysis and presentation and report presentation.
