Overview

In GCH5030 (12 points), you will undertake a group consultancy project informed by an industry partner, with the approval of the unit coordinator. As part of this unit, you will be introduced to the basics of preparing a solution plan to solve the sustainable and environment problem/issue that industry partner is facing. This project will also be conducted covering any aspect of the industry partner’s operations (technical, business, ethical and social issues, marketing, supply chain, economics) where applying green and sustainable can bring about change. You will communicate your findings to the industry partner and to the unit coordinator and other students at the end of semester. The host industry partner will provide supervision for the group project, while the unit coordinator and other academic staff provide academic guidance and/or supervision. You will communicate the project findings in the format specified by the academic supervisor and/or partner organisation. Part of the teams’ project outcomes will be a project report and oral presentation that are to be shared with the partner organisation. The unit includes some scheduled activities alongside the project work to enhance and develop professional skills and a reflective task.
