This unit considers global issues in international trade and finance. The content of the unit will vary each offering to reflect contemporary issues, current concerns, latest research, and teacher expertise. Global Issues units in the faculty of law are run as part of its Prato program.

Learning outcomes

1. Demonstrate understanding of the selected key global issues in international trade and finance;
2. Analyse and evaluate selected key global issues in international trade and finance from a range of practice, policy and theoretical perspectives;
3. Conduct research, evaluate and synthesise complex information in order to respond to complex issues relating to selected key global issues in international trade and finance;
4. Communicate effectively, appropriately and persuasively in both collaborative and individual responses to complex global issues for a range of audiences

Workload

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 144 hours per semester typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. The unit requires on average three/four hours of scheduled activities per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
