Learning outcomes

  1. Critically examine, interpret and assess the regulation of economic and social activity in Australia and the effectiveness of different regulatory instruments and techniques;
  2. Critically examine, interpret and assess the role of regulators, how they fulfil this role and methods of holding regulators to account;
  3. Research and apply knowledge of current key regulatory issues and challenges;
  4. Use cognitive, technical, and creative skills to generate and evaluate at an abstract level complex ideas and concepts relevant to regulation.
  5. Demonstrate understanding of key regulatory issues and challenges through well-informed, proactive and persuasive written and/or oral communication.
